Tibot (recently acquired by Octopus Biosafety) has launched a robot to help poultry farms.

Octopus Biosafety manufactures robots to optimize the economic performance of poultry farms and to improve the working conditions of the breeder.

With its SPOUTNIC robot, Octopus Biosafety provides an innovative response to the new challenges of poultry farming. Laëticia and Benoit Savary and the BA Technics design office created this robot to address the health problems farmers encounter.

In details

This mobile and compact poultry robot has an indoor navigation system that permits it to move between hatchery equipment without following a predetermined route. Equipped with four-wheel drive, the Tibot robot moves autonomously inside the breeding room.

In addition to encouraging the natural activity of the chicks, which promotes their weight gain, it ensures surface maintenance of the litter, which is a time-consuming task for the breeder. TIBOT Spoutnic is the first autonomous robot for poultry farms that prevents hens from laying eggs on the ground.

The feed chains, where hens tend to lay naturally, can be slippable thanks to its suitable dimensions. It also has the ability to detect unexpected obstacles and perform maneuvers to avoid them.

Our expertise in mobile robotics has allowed us to collaborate with TIBOT Technologies on different stages of the project, from mechanical and electronic design to the industrialization of TIBOT Spoutnic
