Hubert

BA Healthcare is the lead partner in the HUBERT project, supported by the EU and the Brittany Region.

HUBERT is a three-year project from Brittany, co-sanctioned by the Atlanpole Biothérapies and Images&Réseaux competitiveness clusters. Its aim is to create a range of robots for geriatric use in health and medico-social establishments, to enhance the autonomy of residents and patients.

With the help of the project partners, the BA Healthcare and BA Technics teams are designing 2 devices, the aim of which is to provide users with mobility assistance and help them move from a sitting to a standing position and vice versa. Inspired by existing prototypes at BA Healthcare, this new range will be aimed at two types of user: those who still have some mobility, albeit reduced, and those who have little or no mobility.

Specialising in medical robotics, BA Healthcare is co-developing the HUBERT project: a robotic walker and a mobile for transporting people in an upright position, equipped with an intelligent navigation system with obstacle detection and fleet management.

The aim of the HUBERT project is to create autonomous robots for safely transporting people with reduced mobility in geriatric care, incorporating assistance with standing up and moving around, based on the same principle as "UBER", which picks up users in their rooms.
