Using the robot’s Free Drive (button #2 on the handle), you record the torch position at the start and end of the weld seam. Additional parameters are then set via the console: trajectory type, JOB, welding speed with or without weaving, etc. Once done, you move on to the next trajectory. When programming is complete, you can launch the cycle either in teach mode or via operator authorization.
After clamping the part, the operator welds the first piece manually. Then, another operator unloads and reloads new parts. The cobot will autonomously weld each new part by reproducing the initial weld.
The F/i Cobot complies with the requirements of the European Machinery Directive and is CE certified.
The European directive mandates protecting operators from risks, particularly UV radiation, heat, and electrical hazards. For arc welding applications, the addition of specific safety equipment ensures compliance with these standards.
