BA Mobility – A vision born in the field

Our history

BA Mobility, formerly known as Lifelines, was born out of a powerful observation: caregivers spend too much time on logistical tasks, to the detriment of patient care — their primary mission. From the very beginning, the company set out to profoundly transform hospital logistics by offering concrete solutions to relieve healthcare professionals, improve working conditions, and optimize operational efficiency.

From its inception, BA Mobility placed innovation at the heart of its approach. Its ambition was clear: to automate internal logistics flows using autonomous mobile robotics. To achieve this, the company committed to a research and development strategy in close collaboration with several hospitals. These strategic partnerships — including with Foch Hospital and the Ajaccio Hospital Center — made it possible to co-develop robust solutions adapted to real-world challenges: narrow corridors, variable flow volumes, strict hygiene standards, the need for traceability, and more.

The first prototypes quickly evolved into a complete range of intelligent robots, capable of towing, lifting, or transporting a wide variety of hospital carts. With these tools, healthcare institutions have been able to improve internal logistics while significantly reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders among their staff.

Over the years, the company has expanded its offering with complementary solutions such as the Lify connected cabinet, the Shelfy transport robot, and the MirHook towing system — all designed to integrate seamlessly into the most demanding hospital environments. This technological diversification has allowed BA Mobility to establish itself as a key player in a rapidly evolving sector.

In 2024, Lifelines became BA Mobility. This change in identity marks a new phase in the company’s development: affirming its maturity, structuring its range of solutions, expanding into new sectors (logistics, retail, industry), while continuing to innovate for healthcare environments.

Today, BA Mobility continues its mission: to free up time for care, secure internal logistics, and help build the hospital of tomorrow — more agile, more human, more technological.

Practical and Accessible Solutions for Your Projects

Our expertise

At BA Mobility, our core expertise lies in the design, integration, and deployment of autonomous robotic solutions specifically adapted to the internal logistics of healthcare facilities. We combine technological innovation, hospital-sector knowledge, and tailored support to deliver long-term operational transformation.

Our Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are designed to navigate safely through complex hospital environments. They adapt to architectural constraints, transport various types of carts or containers (meals, laundry, medical devices, waste, etc.), and carry out scheduled and repetitive deliveries — thereby reducing physical strain and the risk of injuries for healthcare personnel.

Each project begins with a detailed analysis of logistical flows: frequencies, volumes, hygiene and safety constraints, and more. We then assess the return on investment — particularly in terms of reducing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) — and propose a tailored solution. We handle the full deployment process: robot installation, route programming, integration with elevators and doors, team training, and change management.

A key added value of our approach lies in our centralized operational platform, AppLife. Accessible via an intuitive web interface, AppLife allows hospitals to manage their entire robot fleet, track missions in real-time, oversee schedules, generate alerts and performance reports, and ensure complete traceability. The platform is designed for hospital users and integrates smoothly into existing digital ecosystems.

To support the adoption of our technologies, we offer several acquisition options: direct purchase via UniHA, lease-to-own plans for better cash flow control, or temporary deployments (from 1 to 6 months) to test our solutions in real-life conditions. These models are adapted to the financial and organizational constraints of each facility.

Our partners

Simplified access through UniHA referencing

BA Mobility is officially referenced by UniHA (Union of Hospitals for Purchasing), a public purchasing group dedicated to healthcare institutions. This national framework allows hospitals and care facilities to acquire our mobile robotics solutions without the need for a dedicated public tender. UniHA referencing ensures that our equipment meets public sector requirements while simplifying and securing the purchasing process. Thanks to this contract, facilities can adopt our technologies quickly and within a reliable, pre-approved structure.

A quick ROI through monthly leasing

To offer a flexible and accessible solution to UniHA members, BA Mobility has partnered with Econocom. This collaboration enables the deployment of our products through a leasing model, providing immediate ROI without affecting the investment budget. In addition, this approach allows healthcare facilities to benefit from the latest technological innovations while keeping costs under control over time.
